If you’re looking for something to do during the week, the South Bend Wednesday Wine Walks may be just what the doctor ordered. These walks have been occurring off and on throughout the summer and there are two more Wednesday Wine Walks coming up in August and September. The first will be held on August 8th and the second will be on September 12th.
For those of you unfamiliar with this event, there are a handful of downtown South Bend restaurants participating and for $40 ($10 of which gets donated to River Bend Cancer Services) you get a wrist band that allows you to stroll through downtown to each restaurant and enjoy a three wine sampler with appetizers between 5 and 9 pm. Choose any of the participating restaurants to start at and then take your time hitting as many or as few other locations as you want. In addition, during these walks there will also be free carriage rides. Strolling from restaurant to restaurant sampling some of the finest wines and food the area has to offer on a warm summer evening sounds like a great way to spend a Wednesday night, doesn’t it?
Here is a list of the participating restaurants:
- Café Navarre
- East Bank Emporium
- LaSalle Grill/Club LaSalle
- South Bend Chocolate Café
- Trio’s Restaurant and Jazz Club
- Tippecanoe Place Restaurant
- The Vine
For more information about the walks and some special menus for the event, be sure to visit the official website at Eat. Drink. Downtown South Bend. Hopefully I’ll see some of you there.
